Finally sat and read this. Friggin awesome. I LOVED "Daughters of the Dragon", the 6 issue mini that preceeded this. The art is just superb, the writing is awesome. It was both serious and at time hysterically funny. Poor Otis.

Anyone else pick up DotD and the first issue of HFH?

I thought HfH was distinctly lacking in pretty much everything. I only picked it up for Black Cat.

Just... bland is what I thought. :(

I bought it, tried to read it, was bored of it, tossed it aside. It seemed annoying to me. I just couldn't get into it. Such a waste of money. Told my brother to read it since he and I usually buy the same comics, except this past week he didn't. Told him if he likes it he can have it (selling it to him would be a crime). :(

It just seems so extraneous to the whole Civil War thing. I think it would have been better done in Frontlines so at least it has a "pro-registration" angle in there.

It was decent and had a few good moments, but nothing really to write home about.

Bah! You all SUCK!!! No taste I tells ya, no taste at all! :p

Did any of you at least the "Daughters of the Dragon" miniseries that preceded HFH? It reminds me very much of the current She-Hulk series in terms of interaction and humor, with more action. Colleen Wing FTW!

I would agree, but this is the beginning of a new ongoing series. And DevilzFan, what do you mean Black Cat wasn't there? I'm pretty sure that she was. But I haven't read it since the day it came out, so I'm not sure.

I'm talking about the "Daughters of the Dragon" miniseries that preceeded Heroes for Hire. That series focused on Misty and Colleen, with Humbug, Otis, Iron Fist, and other people sprinkled throughout.

Daughters of the Dragon was a mini prelude to HFH written by Gray and Palmiotti. I didn't get it but I'm pretty sure Dev can sum it up nicely.

I did get HFH and was completely bored out of my mind. It's funny. I really like Gray and Palmiotti and most of their stuff is supurb. But lately, it's been very hit or miss. HFH was pretty bad, Battle for Bludhaven was meh. Hawkman was fantastic though.

I'm going to stick out the first arc of HFH to see if it gets better. Also Tucci is the man and I'm glad he finally got Marvel work. Also Sparky's paints on the covers are truely awesome.

Sorry Devz, I can't say that I like it at all.
Never read the Daughters of the Dragon, but that may be why.
But after reading issue one again, I must say that the whole thing feels kind of forced in a way.
It just couldn't dig it man.

Like She-Hulk? I might check it out then. Is it in a trade yet?
