That was a good read. I really hope Bay is right and he has learned from his mistakes on the second film and will deliver a kick-ass third installment.

Eyes as weakness actually makes a lot of sense. Certainly more than "high heat sabot."

The "eyes" comment probably reffered to hiding where they can't see them. Thereby utilizing their eyes as a weakness.

Looks like the weakness will play a big role since Shockwave only has one of those!

I liked the second one, in some ways better than the first. No, it wasn't perfect. And in some ways it was better than the first. But overall I still freaking liked it and watch it everytime.

I'm looking forward to this third one.

Shockwave gonna get shot in the eyes by humans

    NOOOOOOO!

I think the "eyes" comment is what we can consider to be spoilerish here. As in, a weakness discovered between the 2nd and 3rd movie.

Regarding Bay - it sounds like he's out to prove something, and we can only benefit from this. The best part is how he invited members of the press to see first-hand what's going on with the film to refute poor production rumors.

“I’m trying,” he said, “to make up for movie two.”

    LOVE IT.

this was a really good read. i was convinced from the beginning of filming that this one was gonna be a ton better than ROTF, and am convinced even further still by bay's words. hes a no BS kind of guy. so i believe most of what he says. and i liked the part where they said that most of the wise cracking humor was replaced by situational humor. which i think works alot better for a TF movie.

but the biggest thing from this interview is this: Raymon Rodriguez is apparently not a cast member. which means:

NO MORE LEO!!!!! ODEN BE PRAISED! DOTM would be 100 times better if they kept all the problems from rotf and got rid of just leo. MAN this makes me happy!

Or, it could be that cybertronian lenses aren't bulletproof. while I wouldn't think taking out the eyes would kill a 'con, I can see that blinding one would put it at a disadvantage (assuming they are as dependent on sight as people typically are)

Glad to see Bay isn't delusion about ROTF's quality and seems to be making a serious effort to improve TF3. I mean, I liked ROTF, but it's got some serious problems in the script department. DOTM should automatically be better since it, you know, actually has a script.

I figured as much, since we've neither seen nor heard hide nor hair of him throughout production.

The only new tidbit in there is the apparent confirmation Leo's not in. Hooray!!!

Well, I believed all the hype that ROTF would be even better, after Orci promised a lot from the sequel, but... well, some promises were kept, others weren't. I'm still reluctant, since it was a bit of a slap in the face with ROTF... but Bay sounds like he's doing better this time so far.
