Okay, back when I watched the Transformers: The Movie (1986), nearly everyday when I was little, I kept thinking that Starscream was a woman because of how high-pitched his voice was. When I voiced it aloud to my elder brother, he looked at me weridly and prclaimed "Starscream's a guy!" To say the least, I felt stupid.


Did anyone else think Starscream was a woman or was it just me?

as a kid I can totally understand getting mixed up with that crazy voice o' his.

 

Well, he did have boobs practicaly. And baby blue? (Real baby blue) and white? Plus the voice and his constant groveling.

I could totally see how you made the mistake. (I never did, but then again I knew before seeing (and hearing) him that he was a guy.)

 

Never thought that myself. The thought of female robots never crossed my young mind untill the eps with the fem autobots.

 

I always thought he was a guy, but now that you think about it, are we sure?

Haha yeah I see how someone could get confused, but I never got him mixed up. Of course I knew he was a dude before I "met" him.

 

I've heard they actually did use a female voice actor for Screamer when they dubbed G1 into French.

 

man dont do that, that would screw up a lot of girls who liked screamer. theyll be like 'am i a lesbo???'

Well when they were dubbing G1 in my country, Screamer's voice actor was the one who also gave voice to Jazz and Megatron (Nikola Simic, serbian Mel Blanc, he also gave voice to Bugs Bunny) and he was dead on. But Spike was voiced by a female voice actor who also voiced Carly.
