Animated 3D. As in a computer animated series along the lines of Beast Wars or ReBoot, but with Animated's visual style translated into 3 dimensions. Like that StormHawks series or whatever.

    Think about it.

(I've only brought this up due to the, more or less confirmed, rumors that Animated ends after eason 3.)

As for storyline......I don't know maybe it could be years later follow-up with an Animated Violen Jygar destroying cybertron scattering the Autobots throughtout the galaxy.

Any ideas for a storyline, there people?

Not sure why these guys are so harsh. Unfortunately Hasbro has stuck a fork in Animated whether they'll admit it or not. This thread will just rub salt in the wound.

I'm currently undecided on this idea. Although part of me leans towards "no", another part of me feels that the concept could work if done right.

Where Animated story ideas are concerned, I'd rather any companion series to the current one be a prequel instead of a sequel. Something that explores how the Autobot-Decepticon conflict came into being, perhaps, starring all the 'veteran' characters from the present cartoon.

I'd like to go into something more...ehh... moviesh. Like have the same basic team, more simplified looks, different story line...that would be...um...:bay

other than that, i could care less about animated ending and a new series starting, as long as we get good toys i'm o.k.:thumbs2:

Unless Mainframe would do it (which is impossible now), I just don't think a 3D Transformers would work.

The only thing I would like is TFA in space. Now the allspark is gone, they have no reson to stay on earth.

Reform the allspark into the Matrix (the 2 halves could crush the remaining AS fragments into a ball) then give it to prime, beef him up with the rest of the team and off to the great wars 2. Bring in stuff like quintessons etc and away we go, a kick ass space adventure.

Screw the movieverse, its good for the movies, but not for TV

No. We just got what feels like 20 years of crappy CGI Transformers with the Unicron Trilogy. Animated works because its Animated. If they were to continue it, I would hope they'd just go with everything that they had planned out (Since they did have to remove S4 setups from the episodes) and go the way they would've instead of trying to rehash or merge with older continuity issues that were crap the first time around.

Funny, isn't it? So many people (myself included to a degree) were convinced that it was the WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO TRANSFORMERS EVAH when those initial pics of Prime came out. Now everyone's gutted it's being canned.

    Swings and roundabouts :)

pretty much is what is happening now.

that and i dont think the animated style would translate well into 3d too.

I was one of the crybabies when the designs first showed up. I VERY quickly changed my tune after seeing the show-accurate toys, the quality of the cast, and the loyal updates to 80s concepts.

I've fallen in love with the show. It honestly has nothing to do with the style anymore. I think this style works great with these characters, and these characters are what I have come to like.

I think it would be a GREAT compromise if the next continuity reboot is a sequel to TF:A using the same stories and characters, and using whatever new art style Hasbro wants. Whether the style is 3D, 2D, manga-esque, Teen Titans-esque, or Disney-esque, those would only be cosmetic changes.

Keep the characters. Change the look. Everyone wins!
