Well I got my ROdimus missing the complete back/spoiler part So that leaves me no choice... mod, bash and behold
You mean the one at the back of the canopy? Odd; I got that out pretty easily when I shaved out the inside to hinge it.
For the record, yeah, you made me do it; my Roddy is now in the process of becoming Wildrider. In my case, I'm going with Vallejo Dark Grey as the main colour (probably with a wash of pearl glaze on the shell), with Gunmetal for the bonnet/chest.
Very nice work, Kusanagi. Do you plan to also add those car cannons the toys had? Maybe they could double as parts for Menasor. Also, would it have been feasible to add horns to Wildrider's head? Your toy was missing a part? That blows, man.
Thanks I don't plan on having the car-mode cannons. Not yet anyway. I've already got Menasor's "engineering" figured out for the most part, and while the cannons could be included, they aren't necessary. And yeah, I could've easily (and probably should've) gone and made those ear-things for Wildrider. I was kind of impatient and immediately began repainting the figure without doing any mods: for example, I didn't do anything with the head, and I think I should have shaped it a bit to be square-r like I did with Breakdown. Ah well. Glad you liked the repaint.
Only "should've" if you were going for 'toon "accuracy". Personally, I always thought they looked silly. Especially for someone who gets into as many scrapes as he would; they'd snap off all the time!
Nice. Yeah, mine didn't take very long. I just gave it an extra day or two to cure after laying down paint. And then it sat aside while I worked on the Energon Cubes and Mirage's inviso-box (which I haven't posted). Then I went and finally gave it a coat of Future, let it sit over the weekend (while I watched football) and then put the figure back together.
This. I just started mine tonight. I am using a flat black though....Always liked it better that the glossy finishes!
Man, how long has it been since you posted a bash??? Looks killer, man. Great job. The clear red is very interesting to look at, over the silver. It tricks your eyes a lil, I think.
Thanks. Yeah, it's been a while. I've been busy with a day job that doesn't exactly have the most stable of schedules. And hopefully I'll have a little spare change soon that I can spend on paints and such.
