Looks far superior than HASBRO's version but do the new henkei figures suffer from QC issues?

I have no complaints on mine. I know this is for Sunstreaker but I'd like to point out that even weapons storage on Henkei Prowl's mode works perfectly, the blaster slides in and fits snugly. On my Hasbro Prowl, his blaster doesn't hold proper in his alt. mode and is prone to dropping off any time.

It's been hard to pass up the $7.77 Hasbro Sunstreaker to wait for the Henkei, but he's worth it:

A definate improvement. I'm debating on if I should get the universe line when this line runs circles round them.....

Why because I can't wait and have to have them now!!!!! Anyone want a loose Universe Sunstreaker.......

Why is everyone selling their Hasbro versions? Why not keep both of them? Sunstreaker was one of my fav G1 characters so it's easy for me to keep 'em both. I'm not buying every Henkei! release, but the ones I do buy I keep the Hasbro version too as at least to me they each have their own "redeeming" qualities.

Seems like the color differences come down to preference. US is canary yellow and JP is mango yellow. You decide which is better. The chrome for me makes it all more enticing except for the spoilers. Hod Rod gold chrome spoiler FTW, Prowl and Sunstreaker chrome spoilers FTL. Problem I have is that i need the US version to swap spoilers with the JP version, then sell off the half breed leftovers

As far as QC issues go my US streaker is great the license plate even looks better than the JP one and his joints are all tight.

Well being that he's YOUR fav G1 doesn't make him everyones fav. I sell stuff cuz I don't have the room to display everything :(

Mine just arrived - sadly there's some major paint wear on his chest piece, which is a real downer. The same piece doesn't rotate fully either, unlike the Hasbro version. I've never had a QC issue with a Henkei before, but this actually makes it inferior to my Hasbro version. It's not exactly clean on the other side either, so I think mine was painted by the work experience kid :(

Not entirely sure I like the orange either - even with a slight mismatch I prefer the Hasbro yellow. If I can find a way to safely remove the spoiler, I might do a switch.

That said, nice tight joints as ever...

Thanks - it happens though. So far every Henkei/Classics I've picked up has been pretty much flawless, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. The richer colours do make the figure look nice, but unfortunately they also make the flaws more evident.

Here's a pic of Hasbro Sunny with the Henkei silver bits (next to Mirage). Looks nice I think.

Anyone have any idea how to move the pins from the spoiler section safely?

What are the weapons you're using on Mirage?

Shoulder cannon is his original G1 launcher (luckily I had a spare) and the gun belongs to G1 Sludge, as I couldn't stand the silly crossbow thing. I get the whole Crossbow = hunter nod to his G1 bio, but a character as sleek as Mirage should be armed with something more elegent. I'd say he's my favourite Henkei so far. He looks great fighting MP3 Soundwave ^^

The launcher doesn't sit that tightly so it's best for display - by attaching his front wing to his back, it keeps it in place pretty well.

Most Dinobot weapons will fit the Henkei range, as will anything post '85 - Classics Bumblebee is armed with Blurr's gun in my cupboard.

Am I the only one who combines his spoiler with his gun?

The spoiler or the air intakes? Not sure how you'd combine the spoiler (we are talking about Sunstreaker right?)

Man utd prime bro, where have you been? Studying hard for exams eh?

You can get him at Rapid Culture, I'm pretty sure they would have sufficient stocks. If not, you can also try TFH. :)
