It seems lately I have a thing for that mold. But I'm undecided.

 

Got mine for $6o and was fine with it. Your mileage may vary. My favorite mold from that run of Classics. I'd say that's a decent price.

 

IMO, the amt wouldn't stop me so much as the fact it's hard to think of that mold as anybody but Cyclonus.

 

If you have the five superior decoes of the mold and need a sixth, it's not a bad price. For my money I'd choose Dark Skyfire over Strafe though.

I like it, I think I bit around $50 and think it is great, sure it isn't the best representation of the G1 character, but I like it a lot more than the Hasbro take on Strafe. It is definately an interesting colorscheme, and sounds like you like the mold as much as I do. If nothing else, slap a D-Con symbol on him and display him with the rest of your Cycloni, maybe a Shattered Glass Armada.

 

I bit at that price. Whispers of a new head floating around made me do it. If it doesn't pan out I'll deal

 

He's very pretty, so if you like the mold and feel it's worth it to you, then I'd say yes.

I kind of dig it. Love the mold to death. It's Strafe, I don't care if a non-important character is show-accurate. I mostly want a friend for my Jetfire and (future) DotM Air Raid.

I can even justify it in my brain. Strafe was created inside Unicron. See how easy that was?

$41 is still even slightly too high for me to like...but maybe I'll cave for my birthday, lol.

that's cuz that Arcee head sucks. What if there was actually someone good at headcasting, make something diff? And change him a bit? That alone is enough to make the figure worth it. Not saying it will happen but I have one and in case someone doesn't, I will just have someone custom him a bit.

 

That was my point. Plus, the challenge of the head position in alt mode is an issue.

The colors on the thing make me want to vomit out of every orifice. EVERY orifice.

 

I got one at that price. It's sitting in my POL right now over at BBTS along with RTS Strafe. I'll re-purpose RTS Strafe as Classics Scattershot, so alone with Henkei Strafe, I'll have 2/5ths of my Classics Technobots.

 

Look at Energon Jetfire as a "Classics Scattorshot" as well, the blocky G1 spaceship aesthetic is present in both. RTS Strafe is almost too much of an improvement, as streamlined and sleek as the mold is.

It's about all Energon Jetfire is good for.
