    Hey everyone,

Just thought i'd show you some mods i've made to Skyfire (or Jetfire if you prefer).

Did the leg extension mod i had once seen in the tutorials (can't find it anymore).

Modified his arm blasters to look more like the artwork i've seen out there, and to look less like Nullrays.

    Added Reprolable stickers

Added Panel lining to bring out his details

So without further ado, here's Skyfire:

    Who u lookin' at?

The artwork i was referring to (pay attention to his arm blasters):

    and jet mode pics:

and last but not least i placed a Decepticon Symbol inside his chest, just as a tribute to his short stint as a 'con (i know this has been done before):

Let me know what you think, and thanks for looking!

Love it man! This is what Hasbro should be trying to do every time! Sucks that we gotta do all this extra to make our figures look like their artwork

The panel lining (while nicely done) makes the figure look way too busy.

Maybe if you used silver instead of black for the panel lining... But the modifications look great!

You made it a lot closer to the artwork with those mods, which was the result you wanted. I don't know if the panel lining enhances the whole figure because there was just so much in that mold, but that must have been TIME consuming to do.

Amazing, more than five years later, and the best transformer from then still beats out what we're getting lately.

Love what you did with the panel lines, I keep looking at mine and thinking of doing the same thing but I just don't have the patience .....the leg extension does make a huge difference..you wouldn't think 6mm would make alot of difference but it does....

I think most experienced painters paint shadows with slightly darker versions of the part they're painting rather than just black all the time. Black panel lines on a white figure make the seams look larger, and deeper because no light escapes, both of which are less realistic, and yet panel lining is supposed to make it look more realistic. Black panel lining on white parts combines both extremes of realism and unrealistic stylization. Even stylized cell shading paint jobs tend to use similarly slightly darker and less saturated shades of the colors they're on. unless perhaps you're recreating a diorama scene with heavy shadows.
