well. since US uses a mold several times.. we MIGHT end up with a Target, Walrmat or even TRU exclusive RED powerglide. ... any hope? lol

Powerglide looks good, but I honestly don't see much of a difference on Onslaught and Silverbolt other than slightly different shades, maybe. Bigger comparison pics at some point may clear that up, though. Probably more detailed paint apps.

Bye bye Hasbro Powerglide!

 

I like Powerglide and Onslaught just fine with their Hasbro colors. I'll have to see better photos of the Takara versions before getting those. Nice of them to announce this so early though.

 

When did collecting toys become so difficult? It seems like the two companies are working against each other. I want these molds, but I have absolutely no idea which ones I want.

...and I thought collecting G.I. Joe and M.O.T.U. was hard.

 

Quoted for... agreement? But yeah, I agree that people seem way to eager to jump and say Takara's paint schemes for anything is better. I can see why people would prefer the red scheme for Powerglide, but I still say the $20 or some odd more dollars difference makes the red far less appealing. As far as the other two go, well, it's preference, but I see nothing wrong with the Hasbro's to spend even a dollar more let alone $20. But, anyone can buy whichever they like of course and the more choices for a collector the better, I suppose.

Powerglide = absolute must-buy
Onslaught and Silverbolt = not different enough from Hasbro's to justify the extra cost

 

 

As predicted, the Henkei versions of Megatron & Powerglide are the only ones different enough for me to purchase. Unless Hasbro releases more characters with completely ass backwards color schemes, I'll probably be more than content with their versions.

Heh, was wondering about these after the Henkei TW & SW pics showed up. Both Powerglide and Onslaught look great, though I"m very tempted to pick up Powerglide...depending upon my budget.

Now, let's see how Henkei Octane will look like.

I'm thinking I'll more than likely get Powerglide, not so sure about Onslaught and Silverbolt, I still think its stupid we're getting these guys without there gestalt buddies.

Onslaught, no. I like the Hasbro coloring of him.

Silverbolt, also no.

 

The only one that interest me in powerglide not sure why hes red.....but it reminds me of burning convoy.
