Prime looks meh, but Megatron is delicously cheesy knockoff goodness. If the plastic is decent, he might be work a pickup.. I never tire of the horrific color choices of KOs.
got that KO megs a few months ago really cheap, it doesn't suck as much as others i've found before but it's definitely bad, i'll sell it with some other KOs that i had in a box somewhere (when i manage to find the box) and they're around since november/december i think with some astrotrain voyager sized that looked slightly more decent but i never got to buy it
You'd almost think these were blown-up versions of legends-class molds, if such a thing existed for those two toys.
at least megs has most of the transformation and articulation points right, and being a figure kinda hard to transform i'd give it kudos for the reproduction. usually KOs like those don't take time to make small joints and stuff. frankly what amazed me is that i didn't broke the thing while transforming it.
Bizarre, love how they kept the spatula crotch. They look like standard joints and not the super nice "ratcheting" ones. Still if they were cheap they'd be fun for a repaint or fodder for a custom!
Wait... are you saying that there are still Voyager-sized Astrotrain KO's where you live?? I've been dying to get my hands on one of those, but I haven't seen one online since last year. Generally I'm fond of KO's but these two leave me sort of cold. I can't even really see much kitbash potential in them. zmog
sadly astrotrain was sold out even before i had the chance to get it and yeah, don't expect complicated joints or anything like that. the plastic itself is very transparent too, even for a KO.
The Megatron is really, really close to the unreleased Hasbro version of G1 Megatron. The orange and blue version when they were contemplating a G1 Megs reissue.
Eh, yuck... those two are horrific... and I'm generally cool with KO's as long as they're halfway decent, but those... they almost look like Legends class figures.
Why does Megatron get the crazy colors and Prime just gets a half-assed attempt at his 'real' scheme? This makes me sad.
