    Thanks for the explanations :)

What kinds of differences do people expect with these figures over the US retail releases?

Obviously the paint is different. Are they usually less prone to being "sloppy" on the paint?

I wish these weren't so expensive. My one real complaint about Universe Onslaught was that I wished the blue were as rich and dark as the G1 version. Looks like Henkei Onslaught has fixed that.

yeah, that's really the thing i like most: G1 onslaught was a really unique color of dark blue-green, and the Henkei version seems to have captured that color well. I don't mind Hasbro's version really, but it's just kinda dingy/dull/desaturated looking.

I'm with you guys... I appreciate the very G1-accurate colour scheme the Henkei version has... I really do. That extra effort is nice.

But on the other hand, I like the Hasbro version for it's more authentic, greyed-out military feeling. Sometimes G1-accurate colours are not really the best choice... though when dealing with intense nostalgia, it really does become subjective. The deep teal of the Henkei release does suit the police theme of Classics Onslaught better than Hasbro's grey-green, but I still prefer to see Onslaught as a full-on military vehicle.

    Bump!

I've been waiting for pics in robot mode please! I think the head on Onslaught is supposed to be different. I'd like to see what it looks like. I like Hasbro's so far!
