Hi I need help figuring out which figure I should get Henkei Megatron or Leader TFA Megatron, both are about the same price.

Henkei Megatron
Pros:
-Megatron with non nerf colors
-Transforms into a gun
-Shiny chrome chest
-clicky shots
Cons:
- small
- pricy
- lack of accessories

TFA Megatron
pros:
- interesting transformation
- big
- has two swords
- looks kinda like a g1-y megatron
- price is alright

cons
-he mumbles about allspark (but batteries can be removed)
- not sure what else...

 

I don't own TFA leader Megs (yet), but I can't recommend Henkei Megatron enough. He's the pride of my collection (as I don't anything rare) and I dont think lack of accessories is a big deal since he has a nice big cannon. As for pricey mine cost me just over half the price TFA Leader Megatron is going to cost me (I got it for £25 while leader Megs will be about £40 when its out), so if you look enough I dont think it'll be too hard to get for a reasonable price.

I suppose either way you're getting a G1ish Megatron though so if thats what you're looking for its a win either way.

 

I'd say go with animated leader megatron.
It just looks like a better figure.
Looks to be way more fun.
Better bang for your buck, especially if you can only get one.

 

TFA Megs. He's got the Helicopter mode that turns into a great robot. The cannon, swords and compatibility with teh Headmaster rock. Henkei... no amout of paint can make up for a crappy mould. Not to mention the dumb-ass chrome. Plus, TF:A Megs looks more like G1 Megs than the Henkei does.   (wether this is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you)


TF:A Leader Megs all the way.

 

Henkei Megatron will cost about $40 USD with shipping included. Leader Megatron will cost $40 USD retail as is. They're about the same price.... which leaves me wondering.

I wish there was a store selling Henekei Megatron for $20-$30 but not charge me $20+ shipping...

 

Get both you should find a way to save extra money by the time Leader TFA Megatron comes out and sell some older figure you don't want anymore

 

I'm going to a convention soon, perhaps a vendor might sell henkei megatron without the crazy prices, but so far most places sell Henkei Megatron for $40 and that's without shipping.

 

If thats the case go with TFA Megs definatly. Henkei Megs is good but not $20 shipping good (but then there are few things I think are $20 shipping good). I was lucky enough to get mine without having to look online.

 

Out of both I say Leader Megs is a good choice. But if you are a collector of both Lines then Henkei Megatron is a must for the Classics line.

 

I personally like the Henkei one. Get Henkei Megs and wait for retail for Ani Leader Megs.

 

I'd go with TFA Megs. The Classics mold is nice, and having Megs as a gun again is certainly a plus. It took a while for him to grow on me, and now he's kinda..growing off/away from me, and really it's just ok...though I do like the Henkei colorscheme for him.

TFA Megs looks (don't have him yet) like hawt plastic win.

 

You are comparing apple and oranges. But if I had to choose, it would be Henkei!

 

I only have Classics (and I'm not complaing about colors, though if the Japanese one is ever on sale...) and I'm happy

 

Is leader Megatron out where you live? If you are looking to buy now, buy the Henkei version. $40 is a good price shipped for Henkei Megs. I paid $43.99 + tax + shipping (Canadian funds) for mine so he cost me $58 I think. There will be plenty of leader Megs going around for months when he comes out at mass retail so I say get Henkei. However if you prefer the other one, get him, its up to you.

 

I would say, pick Leader Megs !  

 

Leader Megs looks smaller than I figured he'd be. Guess he won't be so out of place with the rest of Animated after all.

 

If you got extra cash, go for both. They have their own share of awesomeness, you won't regret it.  

 

TFA-Megs..but if you got extra dough to spare, why not get the both of em'?
