Toys are always first and foremost for children. Sure, the quality of the manga could be better, but what are you going to do?

Actually, tho, some of the words that are used are pretty high-brow for a children's manga (Mostly anything that Megatron says). Hell, they weren't even in my Japanese-English dictionary. I had to go Japanese-Japanese for them shits.

I think you're right. He has the signature 'door' on his chest and cannon on his shoulder.

 

Yeah, I had mentioned that Ramjet and Soundwave were in the comic when I had simply typed out the translation w/o the pictures.

I'm hoping that it bodes well for a Henkei Ramjet and... well Music Label Soundwave is about as good as we can hope for when it comes to Classics Soundwave.

 

Oh! I thought it was supposed to be "sue me"!   (Darned litigation-happy mindset of this country....)

Nice. I got a Classics Prime and Megatron coming and I hate it when I can't read the Manga that comes with the toys so thanks!  

Still, one does sometimes wish that it was a little less kiddy, but... if you think about it... Classics is G1 updated... so this would make a perfect episode of G1 if it were extended to be a half hour cartoon.  

All in all it's pretty snazy.

 

I deleted them from my post in the Henkei released thread and linked to this thread since they were redundant now that I have the images up.

 

Takara could stage a real coup by scooping the electronics out of MP3 Soundwave, remolding the chest/torso so that it can accomodate G1 Cassetticons, and releasing it at as a Henkei figure packed with G1 Laserbeak and/or Ravage.

(The Cassetticons/bots are about the only G1 figures, IMO, that can coexist with the Classics molds.)

It's been discussed before, of course, and likely it will never happen... but somehow it seems more likely now that Takara is a) releasing its own version of Classics and b) conspicuously placing Soundwave in the manga in an "eject" pose that only MP3 Soundwave can manage.

Dude, I would by a gutted and retooled Music Label Soundwave in a heartbeat if it was released in the Henkei Classics line by Takara-Tomy...

 

Doesn't Henkei mean "Transform"? So this topic title means "Transform" Manga.

The toy line is called "Henkei!" "Henkei!" Transformers Classics, which I take to be Transform! Transform! Transformers. Right?

Overnight, the fan community has taken to call Japanese Transformers Classics "Henkei" as if it actually meant "Transformers" ... which it doesn't.

Made more sense when everyone just referred to them as "Takara Classics". Made sense back then.

I also never understood the WWI abbreviation for War Within. I always think they are referring to the actual World War 1-2 Gi-Joe crossover comic.
