Okay, so I just noticed that some of the chrome on my Henkei Megatron is starting to chip and fade off.... Namely, the chromed Con logo on his cannon, and the bottom of his chest compartment. So, how's the state of the chrome of all your Henkeis? Or is mine just an isolated case?

P.S. I keep my TFs in a dry place and usually wipe them with a dry cloth...

Usually the worst offender I've seen is Galvatron, especially around the sides of his turret and tank treads. That's why my Henkei's are mostly stationary and kept in a locked tight storage shed (so I don't have to dust them either).

No chipping on any of mine, unless it was already present from the factory.

Actually, the worst thing about Henkei chrome that I've noticed is that state that it comes to you from the factory. A lot of the chrome bits have scratchy lines all over them, particularly stuff like the Autobot car spoilers. It's not that noticeable, but it makes me wonder what the guys in the factory are doing with the chrome parts to scratch them up like that.

I know that this is factory related damage, because I inspect the chrome immediately after opening the toys. I started doing that after I noticed another bad habit of the factory workers, which is to leave fingerprints on the chrome, presumably from mould lubricants or something like that. Mostly it's easy enough to just wipe the fingerprints off with a cloth, but sometimes you can't do anything about it because it's reacted with the chrome in some way. I guess they don't wear gloves in the cheap Chinese toy factories that Hasbro and Takara use.

I only have two Henkeis, Grimlock and Smokescreen, and both are doing fine.

I hope my Astrotrain survive. Stupid thrusters. With his Thrusters pimped out the way they are i wouldn't be surprised if his holomatter avatar was a space pimp.

    Nope. No chrome chipping.

But then again, the only one I've transformed more than just alt-to-bot once was Megatron. And I've never once transformed Cyclonus, got him in bot-mode loose from GenZhao pre-release.

No chrome chipping on my various Henkei figures. They've only been transformed once to robot mode and kept in display shelves every since.

Seems like mine's just an odd case then. My Mirage and Grimlock's chrome bits are perfectly fine too, and I actually fiddle with them more often than I do with Megs...

Plenty of Henkeis, and all mine are just fine. Looks like the chrome boogey-man that all the naysayers warned us about last year... doesn't really exist! Gasp!

    Chrome forever!!

The red chrome on my Smokescreen has chipped in the corner of the spoiler. :(
