Excellent review. Thanks for posting this.
And I can't even find the American one yet
I'll stick with the universe one. your pretty much paying double to have chrome and colored lights. I like the numbers on the universe one, gives it a more realistic look. Also I don't know about there but the firetrucks by down here in florida tend to be of the darker red variety.
Well, I'm sold. Great review!
I just found the Universe Inferno yesterday. It's an awesome mold. I like the dark red on the Hasbro version better but the chrome looks good.
Looks cool but not sure if I should get him or wait for the movie stuff to come out.
great review, GenZhao--it's always interesting to see the subtle (and not-so-subtle) differences between Hasbro's design decisions and Henkei's. I don't own any of the Henkei molds, unfortunately--
Did Ha$bro forget how to mix chrome paint in the last few decades? Does the chrome chip easily on the Henkei molds? I've only found Inferno in a comic shop here in Atlanta, and he cost $44--hopefully I'll catch one at regular price before the ROTF molds dominate the aisles.
I bought mine for £35 shipped, hasbroswould have been £20 but seeing how they're being dilholes and not releaseing him in the UK (they passed over his wave and went straight to Leo Prime and Overload instead) I'll pay the little extra for the nicer more collector orientated toy.
With the prices being raised for the figures you might as well pay a little more for a nicer Henkei figure. I don't mind paying a little more when you compare Hasbro Hound and Henkei Hound. Henkei wins. As for Infeno, I actually prefer Hasbro's Inferno.
Henkei Inferno just isn't differnet enough to warrant a 2nd purchase.
I will punch the person whom shoved mine under the sofa with both the arms detatched whilst i was out :grr
he's really nice butgoddamn i can't get those two panels at the back to line up properly
