I can only make out two of the three characters on the base of this statue; the first (i.e. extreme right) one is indecipherable to me. Anyone care to lend a hand? If it helps, the three characters spell out the name of the entity being depicted, one of nine enforcers from the Chinese netherworld.

I think you nailed it. '单眼鬼' or 'Single-Eyed Ghost' perfectly describes his appearance. Thanks! :D

Our old friend the Single-Eyed Ghost is standing at right in this photo (he has both hands raised). Behind him is a chap with three horns who's playing the flute. Can anyone make out the two words on the pedestal that the flute-player is standing on? I can only discern the first (right) one, which says '文' ('culture' or 'literary').
