    did you win the auction?
it may be a bit late, but i wouldn't think a G1 Soundwave is worth that much.

just my opinion. if you are on a budget, look at the reissues. but if you are strictly G1, keep looking on eBay and stick to a price range lower than 2 C-Notes.

Someone else won, but he got a second chance offer to get it at 200. At least that's what I'm gathering...

I wouldn't pay that much for a vintage Soundwave, but that's just me.

    $200??!??!?
$60=$70 is a more reasonable range for a g1 soundwave.

Ok thanks guys. I may look into a G1 Megatron or Galvatron instead. I definitely want to collect the original G1's as those are the ones I originally played with. Just he nostalgia of them I guess.

The reissues are the same toys, but brand new, not 25 years old with play wear.

You can get a reissue for much less than $200

Sometimes people perfer vintage. I know I do. I would much rather own this Soundwave than a made in china soft mold reissue. They are not the same. Side by side they just aren't the same quality.

As far as this purchase goes, I have seen the same thing go anywhere from $150-$300. So its up to you, if you pass this one up, there will be another. Just quickly looking heres one $20+ shipping cheaper. Soundwave MIB 100% G1 Transformers FREE SHIP | eBay

The Encore series are in Japanese G1 type boxes. not the same as the American G1, but similar. They have plastic inserts, not styrofoam, the Japanese logo, a yellow encore badge on the top left corner of the box, and no top flap, just to name a few differences.

Again, side by side, you can tell the difference between the two toys. IMO, there is no better than vintage. The best Reissues were the Dreamwave book stlye reissues, and the eHobby reissues. The TRU reissues were ok, but they had dummed down weapons for American safty issues. Some had oversized missles, no chrome on guns, and short smokestacks on Magnus, and Prime.
