This ones gonna be a REAL longshot, and if anyone is able to help me with it I will be impressed!

Back in the late 80s, I remember being in a toy store and seeing some unusual toys - if remember correctly they were essentially shell-forming heads based on Hollywood monsters like the vampire, werewolf and a skull, which simply opened up to reveal a robot inside. To my knowledge they were neither Transformers nor Gobots, and probably from an entirely different toyline. My dad bought me the skull one, and the memory of them has been stuck at the back of my mind for years...

Does anyone else know the ones I'm talking about?

I must have mistaken the kong one for the werewolf and frankenstein for a vampire (well I was 6), thanks for your help :)
