    Hi all,

please excuse me if this has been posted before, 'cos I've searched through the boards without success (and it's my first post, so please be gentle)...

The question that's bothering me is that I've just seen a guy selling a G1 megatron (saying it's an encore version), but the thing is, in one of the pictures, you can clearly see a G1 megs with the cannon pointing up (and on the back), instead pointing to the front, by the right of its waist...

You can check the last picture here

Can this be done to a G1 without breakage/tooling? Can you please tell me how?

    Many thanks in advance!

I display mine with the barrel behind him like that.

It wont break or anything, you have to finesse it in there by pulling his head back and lifting the arm a little to allow the little tab to clear. then rotate the barrel up, and then push his head forward.

    Good luck! Welcome to TFW!

the peg on the top of the barrel gives a bit of a problem when folding it up, but it will go under the cross bar that the arms attach to. Ive been doing it since I first got mine back in 86.

I've had mine for many years (got it as a birthday present when it came out) and I display it with the canon pointing up. It looks more like the cartoon version that way.

I always have mine on the back. I refuse to do it the other way!

Man I have been doing that for 23 years (84) I thought everyone knew about that. That's the only way I'll TF him.

I've heard of breakage from doing this wrongly. Be careful, folks!

I tried doing that with my encore but never "finessed" it in. I don't do finesse.

Glad to hear it is possible though. Looks nice.
