There was a game back in either the late 80s or early 90s that I remember playing in the early 90s. You control a little guy on the bottom of the screen, and you shoot a spear up at bouncing balls/bubbles/balloons. These would then pop and split in half. Shoot them again, and they split again. Eventually they disappear and you win the stage. Future levels add more balls to begin with. Anyone know the name?

Also, another game from the same era, you're a little guy that dig into the ground and you shoot monsters with a spear in tunnels. But these little guys can also dig and attack you.

Any help with the names of these games would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The second game is Dig Dug.

First game sounds kinda like Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bubble.

I was thinking Bust-A-Move too. Dig Dug definitely sounds like the only candidate to match that one.
