I'm looking to remove the silver paint off the Classics Cliffjumper, but am not sure what I should use for it. I tried using Revell brush cleaner on a small spot and while it removed the silver paint, it also started melting the red plastic.

Any recommendations on a good paint remover for this task which can be freely found in the UK?

Is 70% alcohol any good? I don't think I can find 90% in pharmacies where I am at?

The local pharmacy didn't stock 90% but they did have 70% so I figured that would be worth a try. Worst case scenario I can ask them to order some or get some from a seller on Ebay UK.

Just to confirm, 70% doesn't work.

Got my 90% in the post today and it's doing the job nicely. Take a fair bit of work to get the paint off but it's working :)

easier option is using the JML doktor power sponges that with a bit of water and rubbing fetches the factory paint apps of a treat, and strangley dont use chemicals! ive tried this to great effect so far
