HELP...Monkey Puzzle Tree info needed

    I'm trying to find the following info about Monkey Puzzle trees.
    My mom has one and its got pine cones for the first time, they appear to be male pine cones, appeared in April, she had them all removed(!!!).
    Can these pine cones yield usable seeds ?
    Should they have been left on the tree ?


    Any info would help.

    Male pinecones don't yeild seeds. period.

    Didn't think so, is it worth keeping the cones ? are they good for anything ?
    I assume then this is a male tree ?
