Hey all! Phew, half way through Year 12, and that means 2 weeks of holidays! W00t! Too bad i'll probably have to study, but i have at least 1 week of relaxation. And nothing to do. I have my holiday kitbash, which has been completed. Just need to order stuff from Shapeways. I have my holiday painting on Chibi-Devs, which i'm almost finished.

So i need something to design to kill some time. I'm looking to design a weapon for one of my TF's through Shapeways (i have nearly every TF from RID through AEC through to ROTF, but only a sparse few DOTM because i'm boycotting the line), but i don't know what. Maybe a gun, or a sword, or something.

You guys decide. I can't guarantee i'll get much more than a basic design in one week done, so please, something relatively simple (so no "make an Animated OS!!!" sorta ideas). I'll just choose an idea from this thread. If you can, post a reference pic or artwork so i know what you mean.

*The final model may or may not be available, i don't know yet, so asking me is kinda pointless.

DL Blaster Gun (Updated G1 gun, 5.2mm handle, 85mm-30mm F/B) (Sold!)

Jackhammer/Shovel (RTS Solar Storm Grapple)

 

Melee weapon/Construction tool for RTS Grapple. A jackhammer or a shovel would be cool.

 

Shotgun for DOTM Megatron!!!!!!!!!!! you know its got to be done  

 

Well, I'm gonna need a pic or some info on a DOTM Megs shotgun, as I don't even own the figure (boycotting DOTM).

I'd love to see a new fusion cannon for Classics Megatron (more like his G1 toy version and some artwork I've seen--I can share the references if needed).

Another cool one to see would be a Galvatron cannon similar to the toon version.

Not sure how many others might be interested, but I'd like the option to get at least the Megatron fusion cannon at some point. Basically, I hate the one on Classics Megatron. It's too bloated for my taste and I don't have the G1 cannon handy to use on my Megatron custom.

One last idea would be a G1-styled Rodimus Prime Rifle for FansProject Protector. I just don't like the rifle part that connects to the Hot Rod exhaust to form his weapon.

 

What we really need are cheap, good swords. God Sword sets (etc) are great, but there aren't too many good 5mm swords on the cheaper end

 

some of the guns that prime uses in DOTM would be nice?

those are some pretty heavy weaponary!

No more DOTM. I'm boycotting the line. Unless it's a universal weapon (like a gun or something ubiquitous), don't bother.

Give me reference pics, Brian. Don't piqué my interest and then leave me hanging, bro.  

Give me scale (deluxe, scout, etc.) and what figure it's for. This can be done in half an hour, so I can pretty easily do this.

If i get one more person wanting a Megs Cannon, and Brian gives me some reference pics (i have a G1 Megatron reissue if that helps), then i think it's sorted.

Yup, that can be done. Umm, 5mm handle? How long a blade, and what style? I mean, sword is kinda generic as a description... Give me something to go by, like if you said "what if Alternity Prime had a Schwert Gewehr?", then i know where i'm going. Sorry to be picky on this.

Hmm, alright. I'm wondering how you want that on the mold, though. The existing cannon is permanently attached, so how do you want it to go on? A straight replacement for the original, an extra piece, etc.?

 

Accessories for Human Alliance humans, like militairy weapons and stands. I'm thinking like GI Joe accessories, cut smaller. Stands and backpacks could use pegs that fit the holes in their feet and backs. Since their hands aren't really made to hold things, perhaps the weapons could use some kind of clip to attach them to the wrist...

The Megatron Cannon is a go, as soon as Brian tells me how he wants it to attach. Conveniently, I have a G1 Megatron to inspired me.  

As for the human alliance weapons, I think I might be able to, but it'll be a time thing. If I have time, I will.

 

Sweet. RID Scourge Sword with a 5mm hilt it is.
