So here's the deal: these days I only have enough time to watch a few tv shows that are actually on tv. My rotation consists of Parks & Recreation, The Office, 30 Rock, and Glee. Sprinkle in The Daily Show/Colbert Report along with NBA basketball when I can, and that's pretty much it.

But in order to not miss out on "good stuff", I'll pick a series that's usually ended to watch from start to finish. One episode a day, five days a week. I just finished Transformers: Animated [in this Geewunner's opinion, some of the best writing/characters/action in TF history, but severely lacking in other areas...however that's a discussion for another day] and need another show to fill this new Monday-to-Friday void I have. And YOU get to help me decide! Now it doesn't have to be Transformers, or animated/sci-fi (I'd actually prefer it wasn't), just a great show. Here's a list of past shows that I've already gone through, just to give everyone an idea:

Transformers (American G1, up to "Rebirth")
    Beast Wars
    Transformers: Animated
GI Joe: A Real American Hero, up to the '87 movie (I tried continuing with "Operation Dragonfire" but had to shut it off partway into the second ep. It was TERRIBLE, the only time I've ever given up on a show)
    Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law
Gargoyles (The Goliath Chronicles did NOT happen!)
    Arrested Development
What I consider the essential DCAU: Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League/JLU, plus the DCAU Batman films (Phantasm, Sub-Zero, Return of the Joker, Mystery of the Batwoman)
    The Office (UK)
    Extras
The Office (US), up the current episode at the time
Top Gear (UK), from the very beginning of the current iteration. So I witnessed the Jason-before-James area, and a studio audience of like twelve people
    Freaks & Geeks
Battlestar Gallactica (2004) plus the movies (Razor, The Plan) but no webisodes
    Firefly
The Beatles Anthology (ABC's 1995 documentary series)

As you can see, anything's up for grabs. Now I know Lost is riding high after their recent series finale, but I've heard mixed reactions. Also among my considerations right now: The Wire, Mad Men, Modern Family, Community, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother.

Although it may be obvious, *NO SPOILERS* please! Now suggest away!

UPDATE: I went with "The Wire" and it is fantastic! I've only finished season one, but am looking forward to what's next. Suggestions for future shows after this one are still welcome. I've taken into consideration:

    Flight of the Concords
MST3K (if the eps are too hard to find)
    Duckman
    The Critic

Don't know how many of these you might have seen.... but they are all great shows to marathon or watch daily.

    Drama:
Mad Men (season 1 is great, 2-3 is questionable)
    Castle
    Rescue Me
    Dexter
    The Tudors
    United States of Tara
Everwood (if you like family drama stuff, it has the most inventive love triangle EVER)
    House
    The Pacific (HBO)

    Comedy:
Big Bang Theory (cute show that grows on you, much better than 'How I met your Mother')
    Mystery Science Theater 3000
The Muppet Show (even if you've seen it all, it's a great show to revisit)

    Animation:
    Full Metal Alchemist (anime)
    Home Movies (Adult Swim)
    The Boondocks (Adult Swim)
    The Venture Bros. (Adult Swim)
    Gurren Lagann (anime)
    Macross (or Robotech, anime)
Mighty Orbots (80's cartoon, you'll have to find it online. The PQ is crap, but it's still got the best animation from the 80's)
    Cowboy Bebop (anime)

    Sci Fi:
    Farscape
The Lexx (stick with season 1 aka the first 3 movies. It's worth watching.. unlike the actual tv series)

    Retro Sci Fi :
    Space 1999
    Star Trek (original series)
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
    Battlestar Galactica (original series)

As far as Cartoons go, Beast Wars or the DCAU. Or if not the whole DCAU, just B:TAS.

Non-cartoonage would ahve to be either Fringe, Modern Family, Community or NCIS.

    ^definitely.

Hustle was a good show. NCIS is addictive and awesome. And there are always great classics like Taxi or Night Court.

For dramas, both the Wire and Breaking Bad are wonderful. The former is definitely a must-watch for anyone and is the best police/detective show ever created while the latter is arguably the best show on television currently playing. (For comedies, I see you have Extras listed; it is a short series, but if you like Gervais then you'll find it hilarious.)

The listed are ones I've already seen, guess I need to re-word my original post.

Chapelle's show I saw during the original run. Certain shows get plenty of play in syndication (Family Guy, 70's Show) so I've had my fill of those. But these are all great suggestions, keep 'em coming!

    I definitely recommend NCIS.

I'm also going to throw some of my favorite shows that are old, might be able to catch reruns of on TV but you'll be able to find them on DVD:

    The A-Team
Star Trek -- any series, though I strongly recommend the Original and The Next Generation series
    M*A*S*H
    Hogan's Heroes

For comedy: Flight of the Conchords
    For drama/lulz: Dexter
    For pure, sheer awesomeness: Lost
For good sci-fi: Farscape. Dollhouse wasn't too bad either.

The Wire, get off the internets and watch it now.

When your done with that then The Sopranos, True Blood, Sons of Anarchy, Burn Notice, Rome, Stand Alone Complex and Terminator TSCC.

Not seen Breaking Bad or Mad Men yet, but hear nothing but good about them.
