This has been bugging me for quite some time. Okay so there's this song (i think it may be a techno/dance song) that I keep hearing in movie trailers, car commercials, etc. I first heard it in the tv commercials for the first Spider-Man movie (it's playing when he web swings or is fighting Green Goblin) as background music, then I heard it again in a Mitsubishi car commercial (the car is driving over a bridge). You can now currently hear it as background music in the tv commercial that advertises for the Miami Vice movie on DVD. I'm talking about the long version of that commercial (it's usually seen on adult swim) and NOT the short one that plays Jay-Z/Linkin Park's "Numb/Encore" in the background. I tried to find a clip of the Miami Vice commercial to help you guys out but I came up empty handed. So can anyone help me out?

You need to provide more information if we're going to do your Google searches for you. Things like lyrics, or more concrete descriptions of the commercials, preferrably with links to YouTube or other sources of said commercials.

Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go

I dinna have access to Youtube at work, but punch that in and see if that's it. It's actually IN the director's cut of Miami Vice, and was also in Collateral. Guess Mann likes that song. Don't remember it from Spider-Man, but vaguely recall it being in some commercial recently, so...there ya go.

Collateral is one of my favorite movies. Ready Steady Go, the Roots, Audioslave, the music was great.

Okay. Time for you to start doing some of your own work. Instead of shooting down the ideas we give you on such limited info, you need to give us more info. Lyrics, or links to commercials themselves. Google will give you a lot of this info if you just look hard enough.

    SUCCESS!!!!!
Yes! That is the song I was thinking of! Thank you so much TrickyDisco!

It's a real shame that this song and Lunatic Calm's "Leave you far behind"(that other song from Spider-Man) were never put on the original soundtrack (or the 2 other ones for that matter.....).
Thanks again everyone for all your help!
