One of the things I love best about the Cybertron/Galaxy Force figures (outside of the great articulation) is the futuristic style and theme a lot of them boast.

This isn't a kitbash I plan on doing immediately since I'm barely getting into it, but I would like to get an idea from the members here on which 5 figures from the Cybertron/GF line would make ideal and modern representations of the G1 Technobots.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head would be Clocker/Swerve as Lightspeed since he was a futuristic car.

Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

cyb ransack would be a good afterburner...

    maybe energon skyblast as strafe...

scattorshot could work out of energon shockblast....

not sure about the last one

I looked some of these up. I can definitely see Skyblast and Ransack as Strafe and Afterburner respectively. Not so sure about Nosecone yet either.

You'd need to add a drill, but Energon Blight would be my choice.

I loved the Technobots and I think the choices above are great. Here are my ideas with the legs being a little bigger than the arms.

Energon Jetfire or Cybertron Starscream (not the giant) (body) = Scattershot
Armada Demolisher (leg) = Nosecone (Signal Flare would be a good small leg)
Energon Slugslinger (leg) = Strafe (Sky Blast is a great choice too)
    Cybertron Ransack (arm) = Afterburner
    Cybertron Clocker (arm) = Lightspeed

It would need some modifications, but I had an idea (inspired by another board members digibash actually) of what could make a good modern Computron and basically what I thought of was:

Cyb Ransack or Breakdown as Afterburner
    Energon Treadshot/Windrazor as Strafe
    Energon Blight/Kickback as Nosecone
    Cyb Clocker as Lightspeed
    And Energon Stormjet as Scattershot

With Clocker and Ransack/Breakdown all you'd really need is a way to connect them. With Windrazor/Treadshot all you'd need really is the two guns. Blight/Kickback would just need a drill, which would actually be easy to peg onto the front of his tank mode. And Stormjet would just need the nose of his jet turned into a cannon, with more guns added to his wings, but generally he already has the overall shape in both Alt and Bot mode.

If I had any talent with Kitbashing this is something I'd love to make. But seeing as I have none, maybe you'll have better luck making a new Computron.

I thought of him first but then I remembered the scout version has wheels, not treads.

    How big is Energon Stormjet?

Also, I have an Energon Offshoot coming in the mail that could work as Nosecone since he's a Signal Flare repaint.

Stormjet is a Deluxe and is the main body of Energon Superion. Blight/Kickback and Windrazor/Treadshot will plug right into his connectors no problem. He also comes with a fold out second head for his combined mode which can be modifed to work for Computron as well.

Really, with this set up, the only real big modifications that need to be made are to the two Cybertron figures as they'd need a way to attach to the body. Everything else seems like it would be minor mods (attaching the guns to Strafe and the Drill to nosecone) and repaints.

Edit: Yea, that's it! That's the idea that inspired mine. I just couldn't think of your name and didn't feel like searching for the old topic XD

If anyone has extras of these figures lying around, or can direct me to a sales thread here with them, send me a PM.

Zie: I guess this would make him 2/5 Superion Maximus. You're right, that would reduce the difficulty in this project.

Raven: I have a Cybertron Landmine that's just lying around at this point. I could totally make him into Nosecone. Who could you get the drill from. There's one on Cybertron Menasor...

he's got front wheels and rear treads...you could probably cut off the front wheels and just extend the treads ala movie brawl...

Okay, the concensus is that Swerve/Clocker and Ransack make a great Lightspeed and Afterburner respectively.

I'm leaning toward Cyb Landmine as Nosecone and Windrazor/Treadshot may make a great Strafe.

I'm torn between Slugslinger and Skyblast as Scattershot though.

Again, please let me know if any of you have extras of these figures that you'd be willing to sell.

Hmm...I used to own a Swerve and it was a scout class I believe. How much smaller would it be compared to Ransack if they're both Computron's arms?

I wouldn't mind using Landmine since he'd be one of the legs. Haven't ruled out Blight altogether either since he may be more on par with Strafe.
