If none of the above programs work, go to the whatthetech.com forums and get direct help. They helped me a lot when I had an apparently new version of a recent trojan that required going deep into my system to eradicate.

Also, arm yourself with Adblocker and NoScript if you are using Firefox. If you're using IE...God help you.

My computer is running PCTools Spyware doctor. It's a paid program kind of thing, but it does its job quite well.

    Just my :2c:

I've got the same problem, and have used those programs to try and remove it. No good... My computer seems to work fine, but I have to avoid using google until I can find a fix.

Guess that's what I get for searching up sushi recipes.

I had a problem with mine a couple weeks ago, something installed itself. I just went back to my last restore point.

Awww, for a second there I thought you had really been hijacked in a plane or something. Come back when you're being held at gunpoint.

Try restarting in safe mode and restore it to an earlier date

This and there is much otherwise advice here. but I will add as a last resort if all else fails, save what ever data you need thats on on your PC and refomat the hard drive and reinstall the OS.

I only advise doing that if nothing else works and you cannot afford to have a professional deal with it.
