I posted pics of this in my hauls/collection thread back in November asking for help ID'ing it. Should have just posted it here.

Picked this up at a flea market. It looked vintage and it was an import, and it was still in the original box. For only a $1, I thought, why not?

But I don't have any clue what it is, except that it resembles Chogokin toys I've seen at anime shops.

The villain Black Ox from the series Tetsujin 28 FX.

Not sure about the figure itself (and you cut off the manufacturer info). Probably Bandai or one of its affiliates. Damn, either that thing had a LOT of stickers or you had to break out paint brushes for this one.

Sure is white to be called "Black Ox." And thanks for the ID.

I do wish the toy in the box were black like it's pictured on the box. It would've been a lot cooler.

Hm. That might have helped me to note that as well. It says "BLACK OX<TETSUZIN-TYPE29>" on the bottom-left corner on the back of the box. But I had no idea what that meant since I'm not familiar with the toyline -- I thought it was just poor Engrish translation. I should've Googled it. [facepalm]

And below that, in broken Engrish it says:

As for the manufacturer, there are no markings on the toy or the box that I can tell would be related to the manufacturer. It says only "Made in Taiwan." Although one of the side panels of the box is missing -- it might have included the manufacturer name.

Yeah, that diagram is pretty crazy detailed.

Just so you know, the one you have is the STD (standard) version. There's also a DX (deluxe) version that is much larger.

Probably. But it was only a dollar, and it went for a good cause: Salvation Army booth at a flea market.
