It's a custom- or at the very least, a parts swap- of Energon Shockblast. Looks like it has some paint on it, as I think the feet and thighs are supposed to be gray.
if you bought it or trade it all it is energon shockwave with2 blasters! With paint ! It is not rocket science lock thread!!!!!!!
Simply because the question has been answered does NOT mean it is time to lock this thread. Besides, you're kind of coming across as saying this guy was kind of stupid for not realizing it was a custom, which is hardly the case. But back on topic, it is a custom of sorts. The original E. Shockwave came with a massive cannon for an arm, while that one clearly doesn't. It looks a little unfinished, as the black arms don't go with the mainly purple body, but painted up it might look good.
I knew enough to recognise that it was at least affiliated with Energon Shockblast. I had hoped that it was either a slight remould / repaint, or that the giant weapon was detachable. I don’t own any Energon figures. I basically went from Generation 2 straight to Prime, ignoring all the series in between (I did watch Beast Wars, but didn’t collect any of their toys until long after).
I didn't even noticed the arm. I went straight to looking at the chromed solar panels, so my guess is the base figure was the Japanese version.
ShockBLAST. If you're going to be a jerk, at least get the name right. Yeah, the solar panels in the US release were gold as well. The feet look dyed as well.
Oh yeah? I guess that shows how long mine has been packed away. I'm so used to chrome equating to Japanese release these days.
I wouldn't mind knowing where those arms came from. I just recently added this guy to my collection, and the one thing that bugs me about the figure is his oversized cannon arm...otherwise he makes a grew Classics Shockwave standin
There's actually no paint on that at all. The reason the purples do not match is because they took parts from Shockblast, and Sixshot (? His repaint? ) and mix and matched to get mostly purple. It's also where the other blaster hand came from.
Wow, that worked out quite well considering it's just mixing and matches parts from two colours of the same mould.
