I remember as a child in the mid 80's I had a toy I played with a lot. If I remember correctly it was a large silver/gray mechanical/robotic hawk. I want to say it had springy feet or something. If you opened the clawed feet they would spring back shut. I am having a hard time remembering though. I remember playing with it while my mom car pooled 75 kids in the back of her station wagon to my pre-school. All of us wearing no seat belts and smacking our heads on the roof if she hit a bump.

    Thanks

Well, do keep in mind the figure you wanted to identify was a silver hawk, heh.

Some other cool ones were Centurions, Starcom, DinoRiders, and Visionaries.
    Those were some good days

Okay, there's a toy I had a long, long time ago, and I can barely remember any details...

It was a H-shaped spaceship, kinda like Macross, with the control tower sticking from the midsection. It was mainly red with some yellow and...well, that's about everything I can remember for sure. I do vaguely remember that the packaging wasn't in english, and I'd even say that it wasn't even carded but bagged.

It MIGHT have fired missiles, it MIGHT have transformed into a robot. I DO remember also that it was pretty small, six inches long, maybe?

Also, there was another ship I had of some sort whose landing gear looked just like those of Sky Garry...

Sounds a little like an Iron Gear KO. Iron Gear was a battleship, mostly red with some yellow, from Xabungle. There is a small KO around that size out there.

An old, but very cool, action figure line. The figures all had vacuum metalized finishes and were mainly bird themed on the heroes.

Its funny how some of the board members dont know the Silverhawks...well, they were produced by the same company that made Thundercats, dont tell me you dont know these...anyway, Silverhawks were not as cool as Thundercats, but were a quality cartoon nonetheless.

Either i am too old...for remembering them, or maybe you guys never got damn good television xD...

a valid point that Silverhawks were good but not as popular, but this thread is 2 years old, so kind of a moot point :p
