From the Botcon 08 auction, I was able to get (with huge amounts of help from CdnShockwave) the Classics Bumblebee and Classics Mirage 'Hasbro Standard' figures. They are just the regular figs MOSC with a green tag taped to the back that says "Hasbro Standard" with a bunch of serial numbers and initials. This is a first for me. Does anyone else have experience with these? How rare are they? should I get them AFA'd? They are such a unique and interesting addition to my classics collection, but I know so little about them. Thanks!
I've never heard of this either, and my gut reaction is that it's nothing special; just a green piece of paper, right? No figure or package differences? Maybe contacting Hasbro through transformers.com or hasbro.com, or if this is something part of Botcon, contact the guys at botcon.com could solve the mystery.
Apparently it is the master copy they use in their archive as a "This is what this should look like" reference. The green paper has a serial number, date, toy name and wave, vendor name (tomy), engineer's name (Eric Chen), QA person's name (Owen Zou).
Is this the one they take all the pictures of for the packages? Cool addition, though. Definitely one of a kind.
