MP-01 is huge, but that's almost all the thing has going for it when compared to MP-10. Truck mode is a mess, and robot mode suffers from too much diecast that screws with his balance.

I have a hasbro prime and I have mp01L( That is the one to get as it is probably the cheapest and best as far as Takara releases go)

He's is epice because of these facts:
    1 he's huge
    2 he's metal
    3 he's heavy
    4 he's got a light up matrix!
    5 hes got chrome
    6 he's got rubber wheels
    7 he's got working suspension
8 he's got pop up telecommunicators
9 he looks flicking AWESOME just standing there!

Thank you guys! This is the stuff I need to hear.

Money isn't a big thing for me. I have no issues paying more for a figure if it's worth it. But it seems like MP01 is just big. Which is cool but if I want a figure that is just big I will give a radicon all my money to make BIG versions of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

Does MP 10 come with the trailer?

Edit: I mainly display my figs in bot mode and rarely transform them other then when I fort get the figure... hmmm decisions decisions....

Yes! And Roller, something also absent from even the Convoy Perfect Edition figure (MP-01 with a trailer.)

Thanks guys! I think I will go with MP10 then. Since he comes with all that. And i guess it will be nice for the scale with Sideswipe... does he scale with MP Rodimus? Or is Rodimus bigger?

They're pretty much the same height. Results in a great scaled Rodimus Prime, but a freakishly large Hot Rod.

Which is hillarious since the difference is so minute. Just call him Rodimus and you're golden.

I actually think Roddy looks worse with teh legs extended.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking MP10 is it. I really only need one Optimus and the only Movie figs I collect are Sideswipe.

Only have animated jet twins and skywarp.

I haven't really gone for a whole line of anything. The only things I specifically collect are lambos and seekers. and space wise MP10 will dot he trick as well since I still live the rents right now.

I think so. I just needed to hear thought and all on the older MP's and seeing as you don't get the trailer and all with the older ones and even though I;m really not that concerned about scale I think it will be nice to be able to every so often take the MP's and display them together in cool poses. (I rearrange my collections when I get bored lol)

I have the original MP01 and its Hasbro's battle damage version...but I do think MP10 will be a great choice for you. Especially since Hasbro is releasing it this year with all the goodies of the takara version. I'll be picking up this new Masterpiece Optimus as well.

Here's my odd choice: RTS G2 Prime.

He's the most posable Prime I've ever handled. All the normal joints plus waist swivel, ball jointed AND hinged wrists, ball jointed head. The only negative is that his sword handle is too big for his hands. But if you like the aesthetic, he's the best price/product value for a prime, in my opinion.

After reading the OP's post all I can say is...No Prime for YOU, you are officially kicked out of the fandom.

What's next, you gonna tell us you don't own a single Bumblebee? lol

real answer. Score the TRU MP Prime coming out and that will cover any Prime you will every need. Until MP Prime V3 is released :p

Cybertron Optimus Prime, It's an updated G1 Prime that has a trailer that finally does the combination thing right, and comes with a removable matrix, also it is quite large. If you were to own only one Optimus, that would be my suggestion!
