What should I name the silver mustang on the right (beside Shockwave).

Slicer:
Pros: Slicer was AM Wheeljacks repaint back in the '80s. He's got two swords, so "slicer" kind of makes sense.
Cons: Doesnt suit Slicer's original colours.

Overkill:
Pros: Overkill was basicly blue and white/grey same as this bot. Both Overkill and Grimlock were T-Rex's, so kinda makes sense Grim's redo here would have been a T-Rex before.
Cons: Overkill was a T-Rex and a tape before, doesnt really make sense a Mustang?

CannonFodder:
Pros: Thats basicly what he is.
Cons: He's Cannon Fodder.

Slicer makes the most sense, head-mold wise.

 

None of those options really fit at all, IMO, thanks to the color.

If you shave off the "ears" on the wheel jack head, yout could call him Bugly

Shave off the "ears" again and do the eyes in red (yes, they come out for easy painting) and and give him back a gun - Armorhide

No "ears" (man, a lot of 'ear' shaving going on) and you could make him Rippersnapper

 

Overkill seems to be a bit more original. Just my two cents . . .

 

I agree. I like Overkill best.

 

Thanks for the input guys. I'm still undecided. I do kind of like Overkill better, it's a bit obscure but it can work. Slicer might fit alittle better just because of the head and swords... I'll give it a couple more days.

I'd say overkill. Suits the color scheme, sets a paralell to grimlock and is a slightly more recognizable than slicer.

 

I said Cannon Fodder. I like the name and as you said he is Cannon Fodder.

 

Hmmm... I voted for Overkill because I liked the name but I'd say Cannon Fodder. Put him in a comic strip where gets the good 'ol Waspinator treatment.

Well, despite my own post to this particular thread, I have an Alternators Slicer planned myself for the near future. I've had the plan worked out for about 4 months now (and I've got the files to prove it   ) . . .

Are you going to paint this Alt, or are you happy with him as is?

 

I'll be leaving him as is. I like the blue and silver, I've actually got a rear head piece on order from transrepro to give him blue side vents or ears or whatever you want to call them. I think that'll tie in nicely with the colour scheme.

 

I ordered the repro WJ head from Ken in November to use on my Slicer. I hope he's doing alright and I hope we get our heads soon!

Blue and silver - cool, scientific appraisal plus arrogance and superiority. A good choice for a Decepticon Wheeljack repaint. We're talking Shockwave, Hook, pre-military Starscream, Monocle.
