Help!! My wife and I are expecting our expecting a baby (shes due tomorrow), and everyting was going fine. We had a name picked out & everything - the babys a girl, so we were going to call her Meadhbh. But the other day, my wife suddenly decides she doesn't like that name any more, and we can't think of a new one!!! Any Ideas?? Thanks!!!
We named our (two month old) daughter Grace Elizabeth. Hannah & Abigail were two other names we really liked as well. Congrats and good luck!
Natasha or Sabrina or something like that. Make it something unique and beautiful, and not something like Katie/Kristy/Jenny. Think about a name she'll like as an adult, and try not to pick something "cute".
Another thought: do you have to pick the name before birth? Is that a requirement in Ireland? You may want to consider bonding with her for a week or so, get to know her, and see if she inspires you in any direction.
I tend to find a good way of ruling out names is to call them out in the most common, horrible-sounding North Dublin accent (think the Commitments). So you end up up with "NATASHEH" or "SABRINEH" Keep em' coming though, I'm writing them all down & I'll run them by the boss later. Thanks!!
Its not a requirement, but you have to register the birth fairly quickly (within 1-3 days) and you could end up with a birth record saying "Baby Hankey" on it.
Hayley, Mckennzie, Megan, Tia, Ryan, Hannah, These were all names that we looked at for our daughter Hayley Won.
Some good stuff there, thanks very much. Emma was a front runner until I brought up the fact it was my ex-girlfriends name. Unfortunately the Mrs. has vitoed Kal-El, Zod, Skeletor, Optimus and other such gems since before the birth of our first baby (the new one will be number five). Wasn't for the want of trying though. Darth Hankey would have been the coolest name ever!!! Still, must press on. those baby name books are the most boring read ever....
ROFLOL. As a Northsider, I can vouch for the accuracy of his comment. (...I'm no good at name suggestions unforunately, )
My wife and I are considering two names for a girl: Jade Elizbeth or Josefin Elizbeth No, not Elizabeth...Elizbeth. I think both of those go well w/ the middle name.
