A person is selling G1 toys in boxes and I would like to ask for help to see if other people can identify these boxes and originals or not. The pictures he sent are small so that is all I have to go by until I meet him in person. Thanks in advance.

I will go out on a limb here and say that they're all fakes. Each one of those toys has a known recent Chinese KO. Buyer beware!

Ask him for a higher res shot of Grimlock's box. If it says Autobot Bommander, you know it's a fake!

    You hit the KO jackpot!

If the seller is telling you that these are original G1 Transformers, you need to bitch-slap him when you meet him!

Check the For Sale Section here...

There is a guy selling a smokescreen KO box there for $5.00. And booklets.

Hrm... kind of suspicious. If he can't get you better picks, I'd not waste the money. The pictures seem to be a bit "perfect" too. They are all the same size, all lined up perfectly straight on. No one that is selling one boxed figure of each is going to spend their time doing that. They'd snap off a photo of it sitting on a table or something.

    I'd say avoid it.

I questioned the same seller about these, and he told me they were all knock-offs. Did you ask him?

(And I believe I can discern that Grimlock's box does say 'Bommander'.)

Thanks for all the input. I have not asked the seller whether they were knock offs yet. I just wanted to do some homework before doing so. What raised my suspicions was the unusually new conditions of the boxes, as 20-year-old boxes tend to show certain signs of wear.

Ive never seen Smokescreen KO'd. All of those figures have been knocked-off. The boxes abd figures are still very displayable and the quality isnt bad at all. Being passed as "genuine" does indeed deserve a slap in mouthpiece.

As the above people mentioned, they are ko boxes/toys, unless he's trying to pass them off as genunine g1 and selling them at g1 prices, you might want to pick a few up (avoid swoop he's very poorly made) most of em would be worth 30-60$ especially ones like wheeljerk and gnaw, who are reaosnably tough to find offical g1 toys.
