I can get a Primus Wal-Mart pack (with the bonus minicons) at my local Wal-Mart for $21. I'm not sure whether I should or not.

    Things to consider:

    1. I am a huge, unapologetic cheapass
    2. I own around a dozen Transformers
    3. I do have a MIB Unicron that he could duel with (around $5.95 @ Target ages ago. WTF) (and yes, I would probably open both the boxes and make them FITE FITE FITE on my bookshelf)
    4. I am 33
    5. I can afford it
    6. I do have space for it

Now is your chance, fellows Transfans (and total strangers!) to have a say in how I spend my hard-earned money! Do you have Primus and love him. I want to know about it. Do you have Primus and think he looks like a blowfish without a tail? I want to know about it.

    P. Diddy says "Vote or Die," but he's a moron, so just go ahead and vote if you want to, but if you don't that's ok too. (You don't have to die as far as I'm concerned.)

Votes will be tallied until 4:00 EST Monday, Feb 19.

EDIT: If some kind mod would fix the humuliating typo in my subject line, that would be SUPER.

Thanks and Good Monday Morning one and all!

EDIT 2: Never mind, I figued out how to fix the subject.

Damn your hypnotic avatar. But yes, buy him. He's a spiky beach ball that turns into a robot. For novelty alone he's worth the price. If nothing else, he fits perfectly into the palm of an adult hand so that you can reenact your favorite scene from Hamlet.

"Alas, poor Primus. I knew him, Horatio, a robot of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his robot surface a thousand times, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!"

Buy him. He's worth every penny that'll be pryed out of your vice-like grip.

And I second the idea of selling the MiniCons to make back some of the cash. Heck, I think the motorcycle dude's one of the MC's and I'd buy that one off of ya. ^_^

Early exit polls are clearly Pro-Primus.

I'm begining to feel the pull.

One thing to keep in mind, whenever you post a thread like this on this forum, you're going to get nothing but a lindslide telling you to go for it. If you need that for motivation, then go for it!

On that note, yes, get him. I bought him and think he's great with Unicron.

Right. Primus is probably one of the best figures in the Cybertron/Galaxy Force line. He's very detailed, which makes him look rather out of place with the rest of them, since whilst all of them are detailed, Primus trumps them with detail out the wazoo.

The Omega Lock Primus has is a bit of a hinderance. It's a requirement for basically all aspects of the transformation because it acts like a giant key. While in concept, this is an amazing idea and such, you'll likely get sick of it the third time you go about using it to transform him.

Another flaw is that the wrist cannons by design are flawed in that after a very short amount of use (I.E. once or twice) they'll automatically retract on their own. This can be remedied by either light modification of the arm mechanisms, or by added Super Glue to both arms. The latter is more of a temporary solution, but I did it and I haven't had a problem since.

I got mine at retail for $50 and I don't regret it. To get him for $21 is a steal when you find out how great he is.

I paid around $130CAN to get the Galaxy Force version last year, so yeah, get it, it's a great toy, especially at that ridiculously low price.

PS : How do I get the arm cannons to stay in in planet mode?

Easy decision. buy it! I have both the Galaxy Force version and the hasbro version. He is a great buy at $21.

About the arm cannons, just don't use them. I exchanged my original us primus because of them before i read it was a defect. I just don't use them.

Procrastinators should get him ASAP. I have not seen one in any stores around me in a long time. I think he is going to start quickly disappearing.
