    I need to swap out the arms from a BT Alert with Alt Ricochet. (subaru molds)

    What is the best technique?

    I've been through the tutorials, but most start with the arm already off the body.

    It looks like I should I detach the entire wheel/arm assembly at the car, if so, how do I do this without breaking the joint. When I apply force it feels like the tabs will break.

    I tried heating with a hair dryer, but that didn't seem to help.

    Am I just being too gentle?

    I mostly worried about the arms on Alert, since I don't have extras of him.

    I figured this has been done a million zillion times so it should be easy. :)

    I believe those arms just pop off .. Let me see if i can find the pics of my silverstreak repaint i did, its the same mold..

    Edit::

    Ok yeah i just looked up my pics for my custom and the arms do pop right off. its just a pug holding the arm in place and they can pop on and off pretty easy .

    Hope this helps :)

    Yep, they just pop off. The first time you do it, you have the jitters about breaking something (like most projects the first go-around). After you've done it about a hundred times, it's second nature.

    Somehow, I know this :lol
