My brother got his copy last week. Looks way better than the ADV releases. The only downside is that because they stuffed both movies onto one disc, Legion suffers from being the more unremarkable of the two.

You're missing out on a lot my friend.

I have the originals on DVD, but for $5 I might have to bite.

Got my disc yesterday, watched the first movie tonight. Looked good! Legion is my favorite of the trilogy, I'll give it a watch in the next couple of days.

Got mine yesterday, watched them both back to back. Attack of the Legion has much better speical effects than the first. Amazing what 1 year will do.

I thought it was funny how in the Legion he flys with wings like a sea turtle. They must have wanted to give the effect of a new and improved Gamera.

Gives me the craving for some Godzilla!

Yup, Gamera 2 is awesome, and yes, the sea-turtle cruise-mode flight-flippers have a lot to do with that for me. :D  I can never decide if I prefer that or the Koopa-shell escape mode more. They are both incredible.

Also, in case you didn't know, and in case the music sounds familiar, the music for this serious is done by the same composer from Shadow of the Colossus.

You should have gotten one long ago.:)

Also, great news that Gamera 3 is also being released! I wonder how much better it will look than the old ADV dvd discs? It seems that this will be a new transfer too.

I haven't had use for a DVD in... a very long time, aside from movies that weren't on Blu-Ray anyway (like the OOP Tiga DVDs I was collecting). Never had a reason to upgrade.

It's cool that Gamera Trilogy is on Blu-Ray and at a low price, but I have all three and their awesome the way they are.
