    Transformers Movie robot heights revealed! Yes Jazz is defintely shorter than Bumblebee, which is very odd.

    So looks like there really is no mass shifting at all. Wonder if this will be reflected in the toy line?

    Could anyone translate this into the metric system for those who can't be bothered to learn wacky American measurements?

    Basic meaning:

    Optimus Prime sinks a few feet at the deepest end of the pool.

    But Megatron can breath from the deepest end.

    Conversion factor is *12*2.54/100 to get it into metres.

    So 4m, 5.2m, 7.3m, 7.9m, 8.5m and 10.4m respectively.

    Jazz = 3.96 Meters
    BB = 5.2
    Ratchet = 7.3
    Ironhide = 7.9
    Prime = 8.53
    Megatron = 10.36

    Edit: Well, Somebody beat me to it, not just anybody, but Somebody.

    Anyway, seems odd that the robot resulting from a 10 wheel semi is only 2 feet taller than one stemming from a pick up.

    Jazz might actually look like a G1 incarnation of himself - at 13' he's not so stretched out, and could have an Alternator-style transformation. At 17', BB is about 2' taller than the tallest Alt would be; of course, we've already seen him and know he's going to be pulled out.

    so after all prime isn't going to be as tall as megatron (if i remember correctly it was said that the long nose truck was chosen because we could have a 35 feet prime that way...) :sly:

    They should have went with an Alt. Windcharger style Transformation on Jazz, where he is the shortest car, but one of the tallest alts. Obviously Ratchet and IronHide will be huge..but Jazz should be bigger than Bumble Bee.

    I don't think that is acurate on Prime's part. He is a huge semi, while Ironhide is a pickup truck and they are only 2 feet apart?

    I'm also a fan of the metric system over whatever the Hell we have over here, but I feel obliged to write:

    Interesting. Jazz's car is a heck of a lot smaller then the new camaro...so it makes sense to me that he is shorter lol.

    I probably shouldn't be as pissed off as I am about Jazz being smaller than Bumblebee. I mean, it's not like Jazz is going to look anything like the origional or sound anything like the Scatman. Unfortunatley, Jazz was my favorite G1 toy as a kid, and I loved his character on the show. Heck, as I recall, he was technically second in command! A second in command that's half the size of Prime? Probably not.

    Bumblebee's height reminds me of a humor irony in that cartoon Robotix.

    The big guy squishy becomes the smallest mech.

    Hmmm. there has to be some kinda of error b/c, if i remember correctly some article saying movie bumblebee is suppose to be the smallest of the autobots, and Optimus was made a long nosed semi in order for him to be at least 30-something ft tall.

    Im not upset about the robot heights and its not going to make me dislike this movie so far but it's a bit strange.

    Err... umm... huh?

    Well, I had a feeling that Bumblebee was going to end up taller than Jazz, because of the cars chosen, but it still stinks.

    Ratchet and Ironhide are exactly what I expected, but Prime is... alot shorter than expected. Didn't they originally say that the long nosed semi was chosen over the flat nosed one, because they needed him to be around 35 feet tall?

    Megatron's height is great, but what I want to see now are the heights of the other Decepticons. I mean, Blackout should be freakin' huge man! The Decepticons are gonna freakin' tower over the Autobots in this thing! Not that that's a bad thing.

    WTF ?!! Seriously !! Or Bay got the measurements wrong when he was annoucing their size or did the reporter post them wrong ?!!. If Bay and the others said Bumblebee was the underdog WHY IN F***ING BLAZES HELL IS JAZZ SHORTER THAN HIM ?!!!!. Also , didn't that guy in Comiccon said Prime was going to be over 30 feet tall ?!!. I mean , not that I'm against Megatron been bigeer than Prime , I see this as a even challenge for our hero but that wasn't the size previouly anounced back in Comiccon !!!. ................ I smell screw up !!!!
