I prefer the colder seasons. It's easier to warm-up than it is to cool down.
But at the same time, I like the longer day's. :)

Ick. We had some of that this last weekend, and have more coming this weekend, although not with a heat index that high. Similar humidity and raw temp but lower dewpoint though. Can't take the babies for their family walk in this kind of swelter. :(

Yeah it sucks. What is worse is that I work in AC so end up wearing long sleeve shirts. Then I am melting when I get out of work.

The upstairs air conditioner is broken, but I've been learning to live without it. Anyways, it's been raining a lot lately, so that helps (until the sun pops back up then it gets worse), even though I swear that every time it rains, thunder and lighting must accompany it.

Heads up to anyone suffering, there are a whole range of products based on the use of PVA.

    Stuff like this:
Amazon.com: Chill-Its 6602 Cooling Towel, Blue: Home Improvement

You soak it in water for a bit and then you wrap it around your neck. As the water trapped in the PVA evaporates it cools (just like sweating) and the proximity of the wrap to the arteries in your neck helps keep you cooler.

Put one of these on and park yourself in front of a fan and you won't miss a/c at all.

I got that heat wave going on now. 95 as we speak. Sadly I do not have central AC, but thankfully I have a multiroom DVR so I can watch my shows comfortably in the AC bedroom.

Pssh. You think 95°F is bad? It's been hitting the low 100s every day for a couple of weeks now.

I can't remember the last day the high was under 100. Rain? Haven't seen that in over a month.

It's getting to be like Baghdad in Central TX.

Interesting. I live north of you in Alabama and I swear we only get two months of "real" winter a year(jan/feb).
