Pimp My Toy proudly presents Hearts of SteelRavage Hearts of Steel Ravage This custom is based on the Transformers Evolutions comic book "Hearts of Steel", issue 3, where the Autobots and Decepticon factions are awoken in the 19th century and take on vehicle modes befitting that time period. This is my version of Hearts of Steel/Steampunk Ravage. This is a little different from the Ravage that appeared in the comic book but I prefer the sleeker look of this version. He does not have an alt-mode as it was unclear what the actual alt-mode was in the comic book. Modifications - Figure is a heavily modified Lightning Saix Zoid which has been articulated for better posability - stock shoulders have been converted to ball joints to give a more menacing stance - the neck now has a wider range of movement - neck refitted with a ball joint - scratch built twin gatling guns are attached by magnets for ease of use - guns rotate and swivel and can be flipped for extra height (see images of attack mode above) - painted in acrylics and sealed (Tamiya/GW/Vallejo) - airbrushed, shaded and highlighted
Damn, I like that....lots gears, pivot-points, pipes & stuff.....nice perspective! He could easily be the steam-engine inside of Soundwave or something from that time.
Thanks guys. Yep, there's plenty of Lego in the group picture. Scourge uses a couple of bits in the aircraft propellers (rather than rolling lots of styrene); Fracas uses numerous pieces in the detail of his face and sides; and Ravage has some unmistakeable bits on his shoulders for the pulley wheels, and the engine exhausts on his back. You've gotta love the stuff as it's so versatile. There's also a generous helping of watch parts among them to complete the steampunk look.
It's a pleasant surprise to see this one resurfacing. Ah, I miss the li'l guy, but he was bought by the same guy who bought Scourge & Fracas, so I know he's in good company.
Now THATS steam punk! Beautiful my friend simple beautiful, no off look at this gold or this royal color type, this is elegant rustic and at re same point gives that clock work look off as well that steam punk has, I can't wait to see that scourge in its full beauty that's in the back ground there.
Thanks for the compliments fellas. This is quite an old thread so the Scourge thread is still floating around: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/410168-hearts-steel-scourge.html
