ahah! This new board style gets some getting used to but it looks pretty much cleaner and refined :)

ANyway, my work today is not new. It's based on griffith76's (Eric) Hearts of Steel 6.5 inch model which he has been making. I wanted to get a cast iron look and feel for the original scheme. I decided to keep it slightly glossy rather than a totally dull flat look.

The Black version was predominantly shaded and painted with enamels. It's my very own rendering of Nemesis Prime for the Hearts of Steel series. Griffith76's work is just phenomenal. As I painted them, I kept on admiring the engineering and hard work he's put into it. It's really an amazing piece to keep!

He turned out great Sabrina. I love the metallic look on him. I've said it before, but cannot wait until mine get here.

I really like the Nemesis Prime, not just for the black Prime, but it just makes so much sense with the Alt mode.

Thanks FR. It's really an amazing piece. The engineering is so well thought of. I am gonna get 2 unpainted pieces from Griffith76 as well to keep it in its unpainted glory!

OMG!!!  Its simply amazing work. the mold itself is so droolsome, but those apps are simply wondrous.

For the record, the G1 version is my fave. Dope....no screw that, Uber Dope. :thumb

Wow, I would buy one of those if they were released in stores.

You planning to do HOS Shockwave too, I hope, I hope, I hope?

absolutely amazing. I do prefer the black one, the texture of the kit and paint app really help to pay of a much more realistic look.

    Very nice job Sabrina!

I don't really like the texture the surface has, is that how the figure is? I will definitely be sanding away at all that if so.

Ahah! Not me. Griffith_76. I believe if the sale of his current HOS Prime goes well, he will continue to produce the subsequent designs.

Hey, the surface is kinda woody. I went to his workshop and his assistant told me that it's plastic wood? You can only sand of minimally but not to the point of perfection or the details will run off. You may want to check with griffith himself if you have any questions relating to the toy. He has all the answers! :)

    Hey Sabrina,

I will be getting mine after FR's are done. Both Black and color. I'm still working out the colors thought I might not go the all glossy way. Somehow it comes over as a bit TOO glossy for a steam powered machine. I'll go to the national train museum once I get them in to admire some locomotives of old. See if I can get some inspiration.

Anyway, I'm still very envious of your crisp paintjobs! I just can't get my bots that way!
