A bit disappointing that Furman, who set up this whole Dead Universe thing (before it was canned to make way for AHM) wasn't given the chance to finish it himself.

Also, the dialogue in this preview make characters such as Cyclonus and Jhiaxus seem less mysterious and more like average Cybertronians.

    Agree x2.

The dead universe thing is the best storyline IDW have managed in the G1verse, alongside the 'ations'. Pity they're mangling it by taking Furman off it, and using the crappy carebear artwork.

When did Galvatron and his men become so weak? I thought they were super powerful, intimidating entities of the dead universe? Yet they were getting the crap kicked out of them by Arcee and Hardhead. If that's the case, if they come across Optimus or even Megatron, they haven't got a chance. Or even more, they come in and try and take on an Autobot or Decepticon army, they're really doomed. Granted they have Sweeps somewhere to boost their ranks, but judging by how quick Scourge went down the rest of the Sweeps shouldn't take much effort.

Aside from the fact that they are both robotic skulls, I see no resemblance whatsoever. I think you're jumping the gun calling for a Terminator/TF crossover based on that image.

This isn't the first time we've seen the "skeleton" of a transformer in a comic.

Maybe being in the Dead Universe had the same effect on Hardhead it did on the Seekers...

I have to agree with some of the previous comments though, I don't care for the dialogue at all; especially after reading Revelations again.

Ugh. IDW Art really needs some help. Like honestly...

If it isn't the pencils, its the coloring. Even Don Figueroa lines get matched with horrible coloring, and the comics look boring as heck.

I really miss Espen Grundetjern. He made Transformers comics some of the most vibrant to look in the industry at back during the Dreamwave days. Now here we are in 2011... and we have this... with its washed out, flat colors.

    Pass.

Looking forward to this tomorrow, The story more than the Art, but hopefully he grows into drawing Robots and gets better.
Hope I can get the Casey Coller Cover, to at have at least some good art.

Eech....I just got a hold of number 1. While the story in interesting, that art has got to go. Oh well....looking forward to for number 2 anyways, despite the art.

Tell you what, that is some of the worst art and dialogue I've been exposed to in a comic in a while, it's like some ridiculous throwback.

"Dear Stars Above" indeed but don't forget that ridiculous art work!

Galvatron's arm cannon at times looked like an orange Tootsie Pop! Then there's Arcee's teeth and bird feet. Cyclonus's crazy looking head and chain beard. The list goes on and on.

No wonder IDW didn't hype this up. This mini-series is like the slow deformed relative you keep in the basement.

Looks pretty horrible, to be honest. Art is average at best, and the dialogue is just atrocious.

"You both want some, huh? Okay!"

Sounds like something from that shitty Star TV Headmasters dub. Any why the hell are Jhiaxus, Cyclonus, Scourge and Galvatron getting their asses handed to them by Arcee and Hardhead? If anything, it should be the other way around.

Anyone else get the feeling Gorlam Prime is eventually going to transform into Unicron? Lord of Chaos/Chaosbringer for the upcoming Chaos arc?

A weird entity of darkness and death and supercharges dead transformers, giving Galvatron and his troops a new lease on life and sends them out to carry out his will? Wants to snack on Transformers? Anyone?

Well, at least I hope this is where it's going.

What bugs me is how casual all of the dialogue feels. And like I stated elsewhere, I feel like Galvatron should sound much more sinister, whereas here he's just kinda...stating facts.
