Headset Mic Problem

    I posted this on another site but I'm hoping you guys might be able to help. I recently bought the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 headset for use on my PS3, I tried using the mic in Dead Island but my friend said he couldn't hear me. The speakers work fine and I can hear myself when I test the mic in the settings. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.

    Nobody? How dissapointing... I thought that surely the wise people here could help me, it can't be that rare of a problem can it?
