WOW! BT16 KO are they die cast or plastic? and where can I get one? $100+ seems to be the going rate for a BT Skids nowadays.

Damn - that fake is really close, it's going to get harder and harder to be sure you are getting a genuine article on e-bay.

Yeah, their learning curve is definitely improving.

Still, if it gets to the point where I can't tell the difference between OG and KO, then I kinda won't mind, y'know?

I'd buy one if it were cheap then I could have a BT Ironhide on my shelf. I have an Alt Skids.

D@mn, dude, that Skids sans flames and "SCION" is really cool.

Is it too much to hope for an all red and and all white KO? Or, are knockoffs usually in the original colors only? (KO Newb, sorry...)

I'm in the same boat, as long as the price of the Bootleg isn't more then the original.

Ah, but the quality of the bootlegs fails, so that 'if' consideration remains an if. Don't be fooled by surface appearances of toy and box as meaning the toy is comparable to the real thing.

Here's someone posting on Cybertron.ca that his KO Prowl broke in 3 places the first time he transformed it:

Though not the norm, Hasbro's transformers have broken after the first transformation...and they're the official product. If the quality keeps improving which they certainly seem to be the case, then I fail to see the always present negative attitude.

I'm impressed by that last link comprehensively showing all the differences between what I'm guessing are a KO and the legit figure. I would have never picked up on all the subtleties of the letter size and spacing.
