damn, just dropped for my stack right after I sent some stuff out.
Yup, mine too in my POL.
I was expecting it some time ago!
Is anyone painting theirs to match Whirl colors?
I was thinking of painting mine and since I already have FP Defender as my Springer, was going to use GDO Springer as the base for drone. That way Whirl/Drone will have a sword as well.
I will probably paint mine as well.
I'm gonna paint vortex's purple bits blue
Been looking up images of G1 whirl so I can go buy paint. Is he sky blue? So many variations in shades of blue in the pictures
I usually use sky blue for autobot eyes and I used Tamiya PS-3 light blue for Rotorstorm and that is still not light enough. While was a light baby blue. Need to go to the store and see what I can find.
OK thanks Crow. I'll look for a baby blue for the main body and yellow for the rotorblades.
I saw in pics that his head is a darker blue to the body.
I'll probably go with baby blue for the main body panels, yellow for the blades and a dark blue for the joints and other areas to break up the baby blue.
Mine's just arrived in mail! Can't wait to get home and begin the re-tooling of Whirl!
Hopefully this means Tomahawk heads will start showing up for sale/trade, I need about seven of them.

^ can't see it
No shipping notice from RK yet. And it's just a couple of days til CNY.
Got the set. Here's a quick and dirty "review"
Just picked up a Tomahawk for this set and can't wait for this. I like the use of Tomahawk better for Whirl than the DOTM Takara Vortex.
After seeing the review I decided I can wait on this set. I really like the look of it, but the money will be better spent elsewhere. I'm a little jealous of those still buying this set though.
Having trouble deciding between blue or black for the Shapeways claws myself... loving the kit though.
