Discuss! Which do you music aficionados prefer? What are the pros and cons of each?

    Pros:
    Headphones:
-Decent Sound Quality depending on headphones
    -Less Expensive
    -Usually Comes With MP3

    Headbuds:
    -Great Sound Quality

    Cons:
    Headphones:
-If you don't wanna hear anyone else, it's not practical

    Headbuds:
    -Lose the Buds, you're Screwed
-Kinda Expensive for the best models (Cheapest models are 9.99)
-Only some brands have REALLY good sound quality

Both: Wires break after a while, leaving dead headphones (Moreso on Headbuds)

    Earbuds:

+ Great if you don't want to deal with large headphones
+ Perfect for simple useage when listening to an MP3 while jogging or something
    - quality can be a crapshoot (A pair of Skullcandy earbuds I got for christmas broke three months later when the right earbud died. I bought a cheap pair of white sony earbuds, about a 1/3rd of the price of the Skullcandy buds, and the Sony buds have not broken yet even though they've gone through more abuse)
-sometimes have trouble sticking in your ears (one of my main problems)

    Headphones
    + Better overall sound quality
+ Don't rely on sticking in your ears to stay on (and tend to be more comfortable, too!)
    + don't break as easily
-bulkyness tends to get in the way if you're trying to do something active (like jogging)
    - hair can get caught in the moving headband sometimes
    - drowning out sound quality can be a little TOO good at times...

Headphones easily. I never go anywhere without my Bose headphones.

    Ebay:
Buds are far worse for your ears, I only use them when I absolutely have to. As someone who already has hearing problems (long story short, nothing to do with headphones or earbuds) I don't want to make the problem worse.

Earphones. Tried buds - while the sound quality was fantastic I was worried about the long-term effects so I switched back to 'phones. Always found headphones impractical.

Headphones. For some reason I find earbuds annoying to wear.

I don't like those big over the ear headphones either though. My favorite are the ones that go behind your head rather than on top.

Both. Seriously, If someone gave a choice between beats or buds, I'd let them pick not caring if it was buds or beats.

Headphones. They're comfortable and easy to wear. Plus I love the sound quality.
I rarley listen when I'm outside the house so I really have no use for buds.

Headphones. Bought a digital headphone set from Sylvania at Big Lots for $8.00

Gorgeous sound, terrific for gaming and music, plus has rubber coated foam pads for comfort. Damn fine set.

So I just got my first pair of headphones, the over the head type. I'll see how they work when I get them, it's my first pair ever.

Perhaps I can weigh in on this discussion after that. :)
