If he would of been the leader of the Decepticons in the G1 US series you think he would of been able to destroy the Autobots without any of his plans failing? We could see in Headmasters how strong he is and smart and cautious about his plans as he and the Decepticons Headmasters prevented Cerebros transformation with the use of the Plasma Energy on him collected from the explosion of Cybertron

I think your memory of the episode is a bit off.

They did not stop Cerebros's transformation in "The Rebirth".

And there was no Cerebros in the Japanese Headmaster show.

First, "would have" not "would of".

Second, he was leader of the Decepticons, in the later Marvel comics. He did pretty well, but he had a few hardships that the HM Scorponok didn't. Namely, he was fighting Prime, he had another faction of Decepticons to fight against in a civil war, and oh yes, there's something called Unicron he had to face off against too.

He did rather well for all that, though.

Unless you're supposing that he somehow gets injected into the G1 timeline at a previous point, than this entire topic is moot. Scorponok assumes command of the Decepticons in a continuity that is an extension of the US G1 cartoon and through natural progression of the series, many of his plans fail and he is ultimately foiled.

Otherwise, there's too many variables for consideration. At what point in the time line are you placing him in? Is he alone or do any of his other warriors make this transition with him? Etc. Etc.

That was just the Shout Factory subtitles using the western names. What's actually going down in the show is that the tiny little headmaster guy that's only rarely shown is known as Fortress. What you know as Cerebros and Fortress Maximus are lifeless transtectors that he controls.

The Japanese toyline mentions a Cerebros.

But the show and its continuity does not.

I suggest you watch the actual Japanese shows or do some research before you try to correct others.

The one flying the ship was called "Fortress".

Shout's DVD subtitles have used "Cerebros" for him. And that's what Wheeljack's talking about.

I also call Chrome "Chromedome", Ros "Hardhead", Wipe "Mindwipe". They're the same characters to me.

Although Cab and Hosehead (for example) are two different beings.

Maybe that what he ment, but he said "In the Japanese continuity there was a Cerebros", which means as it was seen in the Japanese markets.

The shout DVD was translated for western markets, its not the Japanese continuity as it was presented by Takara.

If they had used the Star TV dub we could have avoided this whole thing.

Jesus Christ...do you seriously just split hairs to be confrontational? That's like arguing to call the "red and blue truck" Optimus Prime or Convoy. :rolleyes2

Oh, DO get over yourself. It's quite clear what he meant, and he was going off an official piece of media.

I have no need to "get over" anything.

What he ment honestly wasnt clear to me.The shout DVD's are a new release. Not everything about them is public knowledge yet.

So if that's what he was useing he should have made it clear.

Maybe. But the result would be millions of threads about why Blaster and Metroplex were called Billy and Phillip in their place.

Right. Besides, we all know that Fortress/Cerebros' real, accurate name should be Spaceship Bruce. End of discussion.
