Has there been any news/discussion about Hasbro/Takara reissuing the Headmasters? Ever? I'm seriously jonesing for a Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, Weirdwolf, Scorponok and the rest.

Sorry if it's old news, I've been away.

Don't worry, it will never happen. Mainly because it is something I want too.

However if Takara/Tomy continues to do the Encore line of G1 characters from the movie, that leaves them with Scorponok left to do (well and technically Bonecrusher/Devastator). So maybe we COULD see that somewhere down the road. It would be damned nice.

That would RULE. I seriously thought Hasbro was going to reproduce Overlord and sell him stateside when I saw "Gigatron" in the Heroes of Cybertron line.

    Is Victory Sabre getting reissued?

If Sky Lynx sells well in the Encore line in Feb, who knows? It could happen.

I'd like to see it happen, the Headmasters were pretty cool. I actually just picked up a Snapdragon in really good condition at an antique store but it doesn't have the Headmaster. Anyone have a Snapdragon head to get rid of?

I'd love to see headmasters incorporated into the classics 2.0 line. I'd like to see a reissue, especially of characters that were never released in the US, but I'd love to see what todays designers could do "reinventing the wheel" so to speak. Classics 1.0 was pure love, here's hoping classics 2.0 is pure joygasm.

We know they have the Fort Max mold (Brave Max). Encore G1 Fort Max, or Grand Max. Common Takara, you know it will sell!

I'd like to see it. I'd be happy if Classics 2.0 focused mainly on the pre-movie / 1986 core cast, but did the odd excursion to make some later characters with modern tech. I'd say any TF shown in the IDW comics would be a good start. Would love a new Hardhead or Nightbeat.

I'd buy 'em. My HMs collection is pretty varied in terms of quality and completeness. I could use some MISB ones for reissue prices.

It won't happen. I rather they make more classics then remake toys you can get on ebay.

I'd love to see a few Classics Head/Target Masters.

Or even some reissues Targetmasters. Some of those guys are a pain to get hold of. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, BRAINSTORM.

I could see them reissuing Chromedome, he was fairly important in Japanese TF shows IIRC.

Also, Headmasters are awesome if you can find them complete. Snapdragon remains one of my favourite TF's of all time.

Weres the fun of hunting down the old toys if they just reissue them all ,, over and over and over.

I doubt it. If the TFC line were still going they could make a killing doing Siren and Nightbeat with ehobby versions as Minerva and Shooter, but I think demand for the later-era figures is a lot slimmer.

And really, there's so many more figures with a much higher demand to be reissued. Can we say dinobots? Sunstreaker and Wheeljack? Everyone and their bot-spawn want those.

The fun comes from playing with them after you can actually find them for an affordable price.

Personally, I'd rather see them do updates in Classics and Animated instead of reissueing them, though it would be nice to see some stuff reissued. A gimmick that they could use for Classics Headmasters, is have all the different head TF's be able to be used for any of them, instead of just the one it comes with. Also, they could make minicon like packs with 3 headmaster TF's per pack, so you can have different head options :thumb .

Word. And they're beautifully brand-new, instead of sticker-worn, yellowed, and/or loosened.
That would be a great new gimmick :thumb  :D  lol

Except for the part where the original Headmasters were all interchangeable already :thumb  :D  lol

Ok. I've honestly never seen a headmaster in person, let alone hold one, so I didn't know that. Also, the :thumb  :D  lol joke is getting old, and it is really immature. If you don't like seeing me use them, than don't read my posts, and ignore it. It's not like I'm forcing you, or anybody else, to read my posts.
