idk gi joe retaliation does look like it could be fun. or at least a better movie then the first one.

and other then that he's done nothing but create music based movies. so i do think it is too soon to judge.

There is no master but he-man and Dolph Lundgren is his avatar.

    Oh my...
Well, it certainly can't be worse that abomination that was also called Masters of the Universe. Nope. Not at all. :confused2

I actually think the first one was gearing up to be pretty good.....until they went to Earth :redface2:

The set design was nice, the costuming wasn't half bad and lets face it, Dolph Lundgren may as well be a dead ringer for He-Man and at times the music got pretty epic. And I love that sword.

Masters of the Universe Final Battle - YouTube

However, all of this pales in comparison to Frank Langella as Skeletor:

Skeletor becomes a God: He Man and the Masters of the Universe - YouTube

Holy fuck, listen to this guy roll. What a total champ. He even manages to seem threatening with the giant golden banana helmet.

The movie of course has many problems like a pretty weak script, two totally useless bastards (Monica and Tom Paris) who weigh the movie down while the one actor, James Mother-Fuckin' Tolkan, who could have made it interesting gets less time to shine. Also, whoever thought about the music subplot sort of thing needs beaten to death with the Cosmic Key.

All in all, its a fun movie but the potential was wasted....along with most of their budget by building that interior of Greyskull.

Also, I back Spiderus on Chris Hemsworth playing He-Man, inspired. I'd probably chose Michael Ironside to be Skeletor though.

I quite enjoyed the original live-action He-Man movie. As long as I didn't watch it with He-Man in mind.

Frank made that movie. I just wish we got a toy version of the film Skeletor. Right Mattel? Instead of making up lame characters and overcharging for them?

I've just had a thought: if the movie will keep the point of Prince Adam turning into He-Man, you could hire both the Hemsworth brothers (Liam and Chris) to play the two parts.

Liam, the younger and smaller of the two is still scrappy enough play a decent Prince Adam, and we all know Chris can do the big beefy good guy roll. How about it?

Chris Hemsworthy would make a good He-Man and Hugo Weaving would make an awesome Skeletor i agree.

I am a He-Man fan since 85 and i think this movie could do justice unlike the cheesy 87 movie which i did saw in theaters when it came out.

And since i'm a MOTU fan, that's where i got my nickname from and from the most badass villain in the MOTU galaxy.

Tom Kenny should play Orko's voice.
